Occupational Therapist School Setting - White Plains, NY

This contract opportunity offers experienced Occupational Therapists a chance to make a tangible difference in a supportive academic setting near White Plains, NY. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
• Previous experience with school-based OT services preferred
• Strong understanding of therapeutic needs in an educational setting
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Effective organizational and documentation abilities
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students in accordance with their IEPs and school policies
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create and implement tailored therapy programs
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings regarding students’ developmental and academic progress
• Educate school personnel and families on strategies to support students’ participation and independence
