School Occupational Therapist | White River Junction, Vermont

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT licensure in Vermont or eligibility to obtain
• Demonstrated experience providing OT services to children or adolescents in a school or pediatric setting
• Solid understanding of IEP process and special education documentation
• Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Excellent communication skills to consult effectively with educators, families, and other related service providers
• Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations, documenting students’ functional abilities and needs
• Design and execute therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
• Document services, progress, and outcomes following school policies and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing assessment data and intervention recommendations
• Educate and provide resources to families and staff, fostering supportive home and school strategies
• Adjust interventions based on student response and changing needs
