Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in Delaware
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—educators, families, and other specialists
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students, both in individual and small group sessions
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals and strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Provide consultative services and resources to school staff and families
- Foster a positive, engaging atmosphere to promote student independence and achievement
