Qualifications and Background:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, execution, and documentation
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to various learning and physical needs of students
- Dedication to fostering inclusion and independence for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' strengths and needs related to school performance
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting motor skills, sensory regulation, and participation in daily classroom activities
- Work collaboratively with educators and other therapists to integrate interventions into the school day
- Provide direct therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insight and recommendations
- Educate and support school staff and families on strategies to maximize student success
