Make a meaningful impact by supporting a student’s journey through essential occupational therapy services as part of a contract opportunity for Extended School Year (ESY) programming. This position is perfect for a skilled OT interested in working 1:1 with an out-of-district male student at a residential hospital setting. With the potential for the position to extend into the next academic year, this is a chance to establish continuity and help a student build foundational skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid occupational therapy license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate closely and flexibly with hospital staff
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Genuine interest in individualized, student-centered interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, 1:1 OT services for a student who is new to therapy
- Develop and implement goal-driven interventions, gradually increasing session duration as the student adjusts
- Coordinate closely with educational teams and hospital staff to ensure consistent, appropriate supports
- Complete progress monitoring and required documentation
- Adapt approaches based on student response and clinical best practices
Position Details:
- Schedule: Mondays and Fridays, 8:15 AM to between 2:30–3:00 PM (exact times flexible based on student needs)
- Setting: Residential hospital near Hampstead, NH
- Commitment: ESY services with opportunity for extension into 26/27 school year
