Make a difference in the lives of young children by providing dedicated occupational therapy services in a rewarding, contract-based role. An immediate opening is available for an early intervention Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based settings. This unique opportunity focuses on home visits, collaborating with families, and supporting early childhood development throughout Douglas County, with most assignments centered around Roseburg and surrounding communities.

As a valued OT, you'll build meaningful relationships, work alongside multidisciplinary teams, and enhance functional outcomes for children in their natural environments. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 11, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Active OT licensure in Oregon, or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in school-based or early intervention settings strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric development and individualized education planning (IEP/IFSP)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, caregivers, and teams
  • Comfort with traveling to homes and working independently in the field
  • Organization and adaptability to address varying needs across locations

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services for early intervention-aged children, focusing on skills critical for school and daily life
  • Conduct assessments and participate in individualized planning to set and achieve measurable goals
  • Integrate therapy into home routines, coaching families on strategies and progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state/federal guidelines
  • Work closely with other therapists, educators, and coordinators to ensure comprehensive support
  • Serve a diverse caseload across multiple locations within Douglas County
