Step into a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist providing onsite compensatory services. In this contract role, you'll help deliver much-needed support to a former student in Lexington, Massachusetts, assisting with a special case that requires both compassion and adaptability. With an assignment totaling just 8 hours (not recurring weekly), this position offers flexibility for professionals seeking additional specialized experience or looking to diversify their school-based practice.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
  • Experience in school and/or home health OT settings
  • Strong understanding of compensatory services and the IEP process
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with families and educational teams
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently
  • Preferred: Previous involvement with district or state-level student service resolutions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer direct compensatory occupational therapy services to a former student as directed by the district
  • Complete assessment and service documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Collaborate with relevant professionals and communicate progress as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all guidelines regarding student records
  • Flexibly address unique student needs in a non-traditional service delivery arrangement
