This full-time role covers a 6-8 week assignment beginning in January, offering the opportunity to work directly with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students at a single K-12 site. Ideal for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll be a valued resource for students in need of your professional expertise and compassionate care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA in Michigan
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with K-12 students preferred
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently
  • Understanding of special education practices and IEP processes
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student participation in classroom activities
  • Keep thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Communicate proactively with parents or guardians about therapy plans and progress
  • Support teams in implementing accommodations, modifications, and interventions to boost student success
