School Occupational Therapist | Xenia, Ohio

Step into a rewarding part-time contract role supporting students’ occupational therapy needs within elementary and middle school settings. This position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of November, providing vital coverage for evaluations and COTA supervision during a leave period. You will play a key role in helping young learners reach their full potential, collaborating with educators and families in a supportive, dynamic school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Ohio
• ODE (Ohio Department of Education) certification required
• Experience in school-based OT services, particularly at the elementary and middle school levels, is strongly preferred
• Skilled in conducting evaluations and delivering clear, comprehensive reports
• Ability to provide effective supervision to COTAs while maintaining high professional standards

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough OT evaluations to determine students’ needs and produce actionable recommendations
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), ensuring compliance with all state and district guidelines
• Create and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s educational and developmental requirements
• Maintain clear documentation and uphold effective communication with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
