Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active OT license required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Comfortable working with children from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ therapeutic needs
- Design individualized intervention plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and other therapists
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Provide consultation and training for staff and caregivers as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with state and federal education guidelines
