School Occupational Therapist - Yonkers, New York

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy support in a dynamic school environment. This contract-based, part-time position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators and families to help children reach their full potential.

Utilizing your skilled expertise in school-based occupational therapy, you will serve a single school building, working 12-15 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, allowing you to coordinate hours that best fit your availability while addressing the needs of the students and school community.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience providing OT services within a school setting
• Ability to assess students’ needs and develop effective intervention plans
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with school staff, families, and students
• Passion for supporting children’s educational and developmental growth

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and support students with fine motor, sensory, self-care, and other functional needs in an educational setting
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
• Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
• Document progress and communicate effectively with school teams and families
• Offer guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed
