Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT license in Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded
• Solid understanding of IEP development, educational goals, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Adaptability, compassion, and a proactive approach to addressing student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for therapeutic intervention
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classrooms and therapy spaces
• Communicate progress and recommendations with educators, parents, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing IEP meetings
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required
• Encourage student independence in classroom tasks, daily living skills, and social interactions
