Step into a dynamic school-based environment as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting elementary-aged students near Ypsilanti, MI. This full-time, contract position runs from ASAP through June, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact during the crucial second half of the academic year. You'll manage a diverse caseload of 50-60 elementary students, providing vital services to help them thrive in the classroom.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) credential, with appropriate Michigan licensure
  • Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
  • Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes and documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, engaging effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services including assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
  • Flexibility and adaptability to address a variety of student needs and work in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary students with varying needs
  • Develop, implement, and track IEP goals, maintaining all required records and reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Provide consultation and training to educators and families on strategies and accommodations
  • Adapt intervention plans based on ongoing assessments of student progress
  • Commit to consistent attendance through the end of the school year
