A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support students in an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program at a school location in Ypsilanti, MI. This contract role focuses on delivering specialized occupational therapy services within an educational setting, aiming to enhance student development and participation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services tailored to students with ASD.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and needs.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including teletherapy as needed, to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
  • Prior experience working with ASD populations is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and educational interventions.
  • Capability to develop and adapt therapy plans that support educational goals.
