A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available to support students in an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program at a school location in Ypsilanti, MI. This contract role focuses on delivering specialized occupational therapy services within an educational setting, aiming to enhance student development and participation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services tailored to students with ASD.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' functional abilities and needs.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including teletherapy as needed, to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Prior experience working with ASD populations is highly preferred.
- Ability to deliver services in diverse environments, including healthcare, home health, and teletherapy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and educational interventions.
- Capability to develop and adapt therapy plans that support educational goals.
