Step into a rewarding opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to students for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position is based near Ypsilanti, MI, spanning from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Two dedicated occupational therapists are sought—one to serve primarily at an elementary campus (1.25 FTE) and another at the high school level (1.0 FTE). Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active state licensure in Occupational Therapy
  • Proven experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings
  • Knowledge of current practices in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized school-based interventions
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and families
  • Adaptability and organization to manage caseloads and documentation requirements
  • Experience with IEPs, progress monitoring, and multidisciplinary teams preferred

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support students’ participation in academic and functional activities
  • Develop intervention strategies tailored to each student's needs
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and meetings
  • Provide thorough documentation, progress reports, and recommendations to support educational success
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student independence
  • Oversee caseloads at either the elementary or high school level, based on assignment
