Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current Michigan OT license in good standing
- Prior experience providing pediatric or school-based occupational therapy services strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, special education teams, families, and administrators
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work with students across a range of age groups and abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and access to curriculum
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input into students’ educational plans
- Collaborate with school staff to create accessible learning environments and offer strategies for classroom inclusion
