School Occupational Therapist - Ypsilanti, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current Michigan OT license in good standing
• Prior experience providing pediatric or school-based occupational therapy services strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, special education teams, families, and administrators
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work with students across a range of age groups and abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy services to students, supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and access to curriculum
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input into students’ educational plans
• Collaborate with school staff to create accessible learning environments and offer strategies for classroom inclusion
