Step into a meaningful role supporting students who require specialized educational and emotional assistance from August 2026 through June 2027. As an Autism or Emotional Support Interventionist, you'll make a significant impact in structured classrooms, helping children and adolescents thrive academically, socially, and behaviorally. This contract opportunity features in-person assignments with a full school-year schedule, ensuring continuity and growth for both you and the students.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Social Behavior, Human Services, or related field preferred
  • Associate’s degree accepted with at least one year of relevant experience (three years preferred)
  • Background working with children/adolescents in one or more settings: Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional or behavioral disabilities, behavioral health, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, school-based special education, mental health, or crisis intervention
  • Excellent behavioral management and de-escalation abilities
  • Ability to work calmly in high-intensity situations
  • Dependable, collaborative, and professional approach
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication
  • Must complete a supervisor reference check and provide a resume highlighting applicable experience

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • direct one-on-one and group instruction to students with autism or emotional/behavioral needs
  • carry out Behavior Intervention Plans and evidence-based strategies such as visual schedules, PECS, AAC, social stories, and sensory tools
  • support daily routines, transitions, and self-care as needed
  • collect and report behavioral/academic data for progress monitoring
  • collaborate closely with teachers, behavioral experts, and therapy teams
  • foster therapeutic, safe, and structured environments—even amidst challenging behaviors like elopement, aggression, or dysregulation
