Multiple immediate positions are available within various specialized classrooms focused on both functional and behavioral support for students with multiple disabilities. Assignments will be determined based on current district priorities, and candidates will be placed in classrooms and locations matching their skills and, where possible, preferences.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or school/special education experience
• Meet at least one of the Pennsylvania paraprofessional state qualification requirements:
  • 48+ college credits (official transcript required), or
  • Associate degree (or higher), or
  • Completed PA DOE-approved assessment (CDA or Credential of Competency)
• Willingness to complete the state-required paraprofessional certification process within 60 days of hire if not already certified
• Comfortable assisting students with behaviors (e.g., hitting, biting, elopement) and with personal care (lifting, toileting, feeding)
• Must be able to work the full school-day schedule, typically between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Reliable transportation for daily, punctual attendance with a manageable commute (approx. 30-35 mins)
• Ready to participate in an in-person interview in Lehigh County

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff in assigned K-12 or preschool classrooms
• Implement individualized support plans, assisting students with academic, behavioral, and daily living skills
• Monitor and encourage student progress, fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Carry out all duties as assigned and adapt to evolving classroom and district needs
