What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Experience as a school-based Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist
  • Understanding of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and patient in dynamic classroom settings
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment
  • 26/27 BI Renewal experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional behavioral certifications are an asset

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist students individually and in groups, reinforcing instructional and behavioral plans
  • Support the implementation of behavior intervention strategies in the classroom
  • Collect and record data on student progress and behavioral incidents
  • Work closely with teachers and specialists to adapt materials and strategies to student needs
  • Help students develop appropriate social skills and self-management techniques
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate on Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams as needed
  • Foster a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all students and staff
