Teacher Aide | Andover, Minnesota

Make an impact this summer supporting students across various grade levels as a highly qualified Paraprofessional for ESY (Extended School Year) programs. Assignments will be tailored to student needs and may include high school, middle school, or elementary placements. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekday morning shifts that allow for flexible summer afternoons.

Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified by one of the following: • Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam) • OR at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diploma alone does not qualify)
• Ability to provide proof of qualifications (attach exam results or transcripts with your application/resume)
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Adaptable and dependable with excellent communication skills
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in the classroom, providing direct support to students as assigned
• Implement individualized education and behavioral plans under staff guidance
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment for all learners
• Supervise students during educational and recreational activities
• Help with classroom organization and preparation of materials
• Communicate effectively with staff and students to support summer learning goals

Position Details:

• Contract dates: June 15, 2026 – June 25, 2026
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:55 am – 12:25 pm (exact hours may vary by site)
• Assignments based on student needs—flexibility required
