Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by joining a team of dedicated paraprofessionals serving elementary school programs in a supportive educational environment near Andover, MN. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work 32.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday) throughout the academic year, starting in early September 2026 until June 2027.
Several special education paraeducator positions are available, supporting resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase programming, and Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase programming. Please indicate your preferred area (resource, DCD, or LAUNCH) when applying.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be considered “Highly Qualified” by ONE of the following:
- Passing score on the Minnesota Para Educator Exam (attach official score)
- At least 60 college credits (attach official college transcripts; pictures of degrees or diplomas are not accepted)
- Experience supporting students in special education settings strongly preferred
- Flexibility and willingness to assist students with toileting and personal care, as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must provide a current resume and Highly Qualified Document with application
Responsibilities:
- Support lead teachers across classroom routines, small groups, and individual instruction
- Assist students within resource programs or specialized DCD/Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase settings
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Provide hands-on assistance to students with a range of physical and academic needs
- Collaborate with special education and general education staff to implement IEP plans
Pay for this position is $20 per hour.
