This contract position offers the opportunity to work as a Paraprofessional in a Setting 4 environment, serving students who require specialized education throughout their school day. The site accommodates learners from elementary through high school, creating a dynamic and impactful atmosphere for student growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing unwavering support for students with high behavioral needs and significant disabilities in an intensive Special Education setting
• Assisting educators and specialists by implementing individualized education and behavior plans
• Supporting students across various age groups (elementary to high school), tailored to your preference
• Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care needs, as appropriate for the caseload
• Contributing to a safe, nurturing, and positive school environment
• Engaging with professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise

Preferred qualifications:

• Highly qualified status, demonstrated by either:
  • At least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required for submission)
  • Passing the Minnesota Paraprofessional or Para Educator Exam (submit official score)
• Experience or strong interest in supporting students with significant behavioral and/or cognitive challenges
• Comfortable with the responsibilities of a Setting 4 site, recognizing the complexity and importance of this specialized environment
• Genuine enthusiasm for working in an educational setting and as part of a collaborative team

This assignment runs from September 8, 2026, to June 10, 2027, Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week, within a welcoming support staff community. Pay for this position is $20 per hour.
