This contract opportunity is perfect for highly qualified paraprofessionals passionate about working in Setting 4 environments, where students receive Special Education services throughout their school day. The role is based at a center serving elementary through high school age groups, so flexibility and a willingness to help across various grades are essential. Expect to work closely with a team dedicated to meeting students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living needs—including toileting and other personal care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Highly qualified as a Paraprofessional:
    • Option 1: Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (submit passing score documentation)
    • Option 2: At least 60 college credits (submit official transcripts)
  • Previous experience supporting students with high behaviors or severe disabilities strongly preferred
  • Comfort and willingness to assist with toileting and personal care
  • Open to elementary through high school age groups (specify age preference if any)
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in a dynamic, behavior-focused environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students in a full-time Special Education setting
  • Assist with classroom activities, behavioral interventions, and implementation of IEP goals
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and special education staff
  • Support students with daily living needs, including hygiene and mobility assistance
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of every student
