Seeking an organized and detail-focused Special Education Paraprofessional to support our Evaluation Team for the upcoming school year. In this unique contract position, you’ll collaborate closely with special education staff to help streamline evaluation processes for students, working primarily from a central home base in Champlin, MN and traveling between local schools as needed.
Your focus won’t be direct student instruction—instead, you'll facilitate the evaluation process, manage records, prepare testing protocols, complete student observations and write-ups, and ensure documentation is correctly filed and maintained. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, efficient, and able to handle a substantial, fast-paced workload with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Highly qualified status before consideration, by one of the following:
- Passing score on MN ParaEducator Exam
- At least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required)
- Resume and proof of qualification (transcript or exam score) must be presented for consideration—diplomas or degree photos are not accepted
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional, ideally within a special education setting or evaluation team support role
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and prioritize a variety of tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of student files
- Manage and organize testing protocols
- Observe students and prepare detailed write-ups for evaluation
- Coordinate file purging and documentation across schools in Champlin, MN
- Communicate effectively with special education staff and team members
This contract role runs from September 8, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule, 32.5 hours per week (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day). Compensation is thoughtfully matched at $20 per hour.
