Support young learners as a paraprofessional in a center-based program serving children ages 2½ to 3. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to early education while broadening your professional experience. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026, with weekday hours from 8:00am to 2:30pm.
Qualifications:
- Highly Qualified status required (must meet ONE of the following):
- Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Exam (Para Educator Exam)
- Minimum of 60 college credits—official transcripts required (diplomas/degrees will not suffice)
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in early childhood preferred
- Experience supporting young children, especially those under five, valued
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a center-based team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and guided support under the direction of licensed classroom staff
- Help implement individualized learning plans and accommodations
- Foster positive social and emotional development among toddlers
- Support daily activities, routines, and classroom management
- Maintain required documentation as directed
- Engage in effective communication with staff and families as appropriate
