Support young learners as a paraprofessional in a center-based program serving children ages 2½ to 3. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to early education while broadening your professional experience. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026, with weekday hours from 8:00am to 2:30pm.

Qualifications:

  • Highly Qualified status required (must meet ONE of the following):
    • Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Exam (Para Educator Exam)
    • Minimum of 60 college credits—official transcripts required (diplomas/degrees will not suffice)
  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in early childhood preferred
  • Experience supporting young children, especially those under five, valued
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a center-based team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and guided support under the direction of licensed classroom staff
  • Help implement individualized learning plans and accommodations
  • Foster positive social and emotional development among toddlers
  • Support daily activities, routines, and classroom management
  • Maintain required documentation as directed
  • Engage in effective communication with staff and families as appropriate
