Special Education Para Professional in Andover, MN

Make a difference supporting middle school students as a contract paraprofessional in a resource classroom for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This role is based near Andover, MN, and offers meaningful, hands-on experience alongside dedicated educators.

Desired Qualifications:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of these criteria:
  • Completed at least two years (roughly 60 semester credits) at an accredited college/university;
  • Hold an associate degree or higher;
  • Achieved a passing score on an approved basic skills assessment (e.g., ParaPro Assessment with at least 455, or ParaEducator assessment with minimum passing scores).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in providing instructional support to students in a resource classroom setting.
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations as needed.
• Offer encouragement, structure, and positive reinforcement throughout the school day.
• Support small group and one-on-one instruction, organizing learning materials as directed by teaching staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 26, 2027. Work Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM, with 35 hours weekly.
