Instructional Aide in Anoka, MN

Exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students as a Paraprofessional! This contract position offers a chance to work in a supportive school environment located near Anoka, MN. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 32.5 hours, Monday through Friday.

Multiple special education paraeducator roles are open in resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase classrooms, and the Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase program. Please indicate in your application if you have a preference for resource, DCD, or LAUNCH programs. Candidates should be comfortable providing toileting assistance as needed.

What you’ll need to be considered:

• Meet Minnesota’s Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirements by either:
  • Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (submit official exam results), OR
  • Completing at least 60 college credits (attach official college transcripts)
• Resume and proof of highly qualified status must be included for consideration
• Willingness to assist with toileting and other personal care needs
• Experience in special education settings preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow educator guidance

Role responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers and special education staff with instructional activities
• Assist students with daily living skills and behavioral support
• Provide 1:1 or small group assistance tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies

All candidates will be direct hires of the district after 422 contract hours. The pay rate for this role is $20 per hour.
