Multiple openings are available at various middle schools where you’ll provide essential support to educators and students in fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment. Select your preferred site from several available locations; indicate this when applying, as each has a unique interview team and your placement will be focused on your preference.

Key Qualifications:

• Must provide a current resume and one Highly Qualified Document (required for consideration).
• Fulfillment of one of the following is mandatory:
  • Passing score on the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam).
  • Completion of 60 or more college credits supported by college transcripts (photos of diplomas or degrees are not accepted).
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and strong rapport with students.
• Willingness to assist with toileting/personal care duties as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and provide individualized assistance to students.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to help implement lesson plans.
• Promote positive behavior and inclusive participation in classroom activities.
• Be present for 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, working across assigned hours.
• Engage in a variety of educational activities, adapting support to student needs under the direction of the teaching staff.

This contract role is designed as a pathway to direct hire after a 90-day period (422 hours), providing an excellent way to start or continue a career in education. Compensation is $20 per hour.
