Special Education Para Professional in Anoka, MN

Make an impact supporting students with significant needs in a dynamic educational environment. This contract paraprofessional role provides direct support to students in a Setting 4 special education program, where learners spend 100% of their day in specialized instruction. Assignments are at a site serving elementary through high school ages; preferences for specific age groups can be accommodated. This position begins September 8, 2026, and extends through June 10, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified as a paraprofessional in Minnesota (must meet ONE of the following):
  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
  • Hold at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
• Willingness and ability to support students with high behavioral needs and/or severe disabilities
• Comfort and flexibility to assist students with toileting and personal care tasks
• Experience working with students in special education settings preferred
• Resume and supporting qualification documentation must be presented for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students in a specialized classroom
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a structured and supportive environment
• Assist with personal care, including toileting, as needed
• Support students across a range of grade levels, from elementary to high school
• Implement instructional and behavioral interventions as part of a dedicated team
