Step into a specialized support role that is vital to the educational evaluation process in a respected school district near Champlin, MN. This contract opportunity focuses on collaborating with dedicated special education professionals throughout the district, serving as an essential member of the evaluation team. Rather than working directly with students, you’ll facilitate student success by streamlining evaluations, managing protocols, and ensuring all processes are accurate and timely.
Your main location will be the ESC in Champlin, MN, with travel to various nearby schools as needed. The work schedule covers 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, through June 8, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support special education teams in the evaluation process, including preparing and maintaining student files
- Manage testing protocols, observation write-ups, and assist with file organization and purging
- Collaborate with staff to ensure evaluations are conducted according to district and regulatory standards
- Remain organized, focused, and highly self-directed to maintain workflow and accuracy across multiple sites
Desired Qualifications:
- MN Paraprofessional Educator Exam passed or at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in special education or school evaluations preferred
In this role, you’ll receive $20 per hour for your expertise and commitment. After 422 contracting hours, there is potential for direct hire by the district.
