Six contract positions are available for reliable, energetic Paraprofessionals seeking a full-time, flexible experience as floating subs. You’ll play a vital role in special education settings, offering classroom support, working closely with students facing behavioral challenges, and being a trusted resource to school teams.
Enjoy guaranteed 30-hour workweeks during school sessions, regardless of call-out frequency, ensuring job and income stability. These roles require adaptability and commitment, as you may serve in one-on-one or classroom aide capacities, assist with Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs), and provide toileting help when needed. You'll rotate among elementary, middle, and high schools within assigned crews—located throughout several district areas and at a dedicated special learning center.
What we’re looking for:
- Current status as a Highly Qualified Para, certified by passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam or completion of at least 60 college credits (with transcript)
- Experience in school settings, especially with behavioral needs and special education
- Willingness to assist with toileting and behavioral interventions
- Flexible attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
- Reliable personal transportation to travel among multiple school sites
Key responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction and student engagement, including one-on-one and group activities
- Implement BIPs and provide consistent behavioral support
- Assist with daily living tasks, including toileting as necessary
- Respond to substitute needs as notified by your crew supervisor
- Maintain accurate, timely communication with district contacts
