Make a direct impact in elementary education as a highly qualified Paraprofessional supporting students and teachers across a range of school sites. This contract position offers an immediate start and the chance to become a direct hire after 422 hours of service. Several roles are available within the district, with vacancies at Andover Elementary, Champlin High School (Focus DCD), Jefferson Elementary, and Sand Creek Elementary. Candidates have the opportunity to select their preferred school site, tailoring the experience to their interests and commute.

Key Qualifications:

• Must meet “highly qualified” status by either: • Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam) • OR completion of at least 60 college credits (an official transcript is required; diplomas or photos of degrees are not accepted)
• Previous paraprofessional or classroom support experience is highly beneficial
• Strong communication skills, dependability, and a collaborative attitude
• Willingness to map and designate interest in specific school locations prior to interview consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in classroom management and provide instructional assistance to students
• Adapt and implement individualized strategies for learners with diverse academic and behavioral needs
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Assist with small-group and 1:1 instruction as directed by teaching staff
• Collaborate with school teams and participate in ongoing professional development
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district guidelines
