Instructional Assistant - Antioch, California

Your background in special education and experience as a paraprofessional will enable you to provide dedicated assistance in the classroom, helping students achieve their fullest potential. The position requires a prompt start—candidates must be able to begin within three business days of signing the contract, with a target start date of Tuesday, August 25th.

What we’re looking for:

• Fully onboarded paraprofessionals who are ready for immediate placement
• Extensive experience supporting students in SPED classrooms
• Ability to provide individualized, 1:1 assistance with empathy and professionalism
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with teachers and staff
• Thorough understanding of confidentiality and student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the assigned student with academic, behavioral, and social goals throughout the school day
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individualized educational strategies
• Assist with classroom management and the facilitation of instructional activities
• Monitor student progress and document daily achievements and any areas of concern
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

This role operates Monday through Friday, from 8am to 3pm, providing a consistent schedule in a rewarding elementary school setting.
