The position is based at an elementary school, where you’ll work closely alongside teachers and students, playing a vital role in daily classroom activities and individualized student support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and managing classroom behavior
• Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with challenging behaviors, to ensure they remain engaged and focused
• Support students during a variety of classroom activities, as well as throughout their learning sessions
• Assist with toileting and daily living needs, as required
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Paraprofessional certification required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a school classroom environment, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviors
• Prior exposure to, or comfort assisting with toileting responsibilities is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff
