Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant, particularly with elementary-aged children
• Familiarity with supporting students with unique learning or behavioral needs is a plus
• Ability to effectively follow behavioral plans and collaborate with a BCBA
• Strong communication skills to interact with educational staff, the student, and family as needed
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability working in a school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated, individualized assistance to a 2nd grade student during scheduled sessions
• Collaborate closely with the BCBA to reinforce positive behavioral strategies
• Help implement daily tasks and maintain a supportive learning environment
• Monitor and document student’s progress and behavior according to guidelines
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to help the student achieve their educational goals

This assignment consists of 12 sessions, scheduled Wednesdays from 4:15 PM to 4:45 PM, with a start as soon as possible and extending through May 21, 2027.
