Make a meaningful difference supporting students in their educational journey as a Paraprofessional/Facilitator working alongside dedicated virtual Speech-Language Pathologists. This full-time contract opportunity (37.5 hours per week) plays a crucial role in ensuring students have seamless access to therapy and the resources they need to thrive.
You will be an on-site liaison, guiding students to their scheduled virtual therapy sessions and providing the hands-on assistance required for successful participation. With roles available for both maternity leave coverage and potentially for the entire school year, this position is an excellent match for those seeking to enrich students’ school experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially in a school environment
- Comfort navigating basic computer systems and technology with students
- Highly organized, dependable, and sensitive to student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to support students receiving virtual services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Escort students to and from therapy session locations within the school
- Assist students with logging into and participating in virtual SLP therapy sessions
- Provide on-the-spot support and troubleshoot simple technical issues
- Print, distribute, and help manage therapy materials as directed by SLPs
- Communicate effectively with SLPs and school staff about scheduling and student progress
