This full-time opportunity is based at a specialized school located in Macon, GA, focused on empowering students through tailored education and support. Candidates will assist certified teachers, providing vital support within inclusive and specialized classroom settings. Please note: while affiliated with a major metropolitan school district, the role requires reliable daily travel to Macon, GA.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Paraprofessional GACE certification (required for consideration)
• Demonstrated experience supporting students in a school environment
• Strong commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Reliable transportation for daily commute to Macon, GA
• Availability for a full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering individualized and group instruction
• Support students with visual impairments in academic and functional skill development
• Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet unique learning needs
• Encourage student independence and engagement in classroom activities
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student growth
• Help with classroom organization and daily routines as assigned
