Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one full year of experience working in Special Education (SPED) classrooms
  • Significant/severe caseload experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide 2 completed professional RefAssured references at the time of application (required for consideration)
  • Reliable personal transportation to report to school sites each day (bus, Uber, and taxi are not permitted)
  • Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting promptly after an offer of employment is extended
  • Clear background check (no misdemeanor or felony charges)
  • Flexibility to be reassigned to different school sites and age groups as district needs arise
  • Ability to arrive on time to elementary (by 7:40am) or middle/high schools (by 8:00am) as scheduled
  • Capability and willingness to assist with toileting and diapering as needed

Your Role:

  • Provide essential support in classrooms, tailoring assistance to diverse student populations
  • Work 34–37.5 hours per week, depending on assignment
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans
  • Adapt to dynamic caseloads and shifting assignments with professionalism
