Classroom Aide | Aurora, Colorado

This full-time position within a transition services environment provides 37.5 hours per week, working closely with individuals aged 18–21+. The ideal candidate will bring strong behavioral expertise and a passion for helping students succeed in both classroom and community settings.

Candidates must present two completed professional RefAssured references upon application. Applicants without these specific references in hand cannot be considered for this assignment.

Key Qualifications:

• Strong background in behavioral support, especially within educational settings
• Prior experience managing significant/severe caseloads, ideally in schools
• Demonstrated expertise working with young adults with disabilities; community integration experience highly valued
• Competence using communication devices with students is desirable
• Willingness and physical ability to assist with toileting and diapering tasks as needed
• Ability to pass immediate fingerprinting; any criminal charges will disqualify a candidate
• Own reliable transportation (public travel options do not qualify)
• Punctuality with consistent arrival by 8:00am required

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioral and educational support to students in both classroom and community scenarios
• Assist students in developing communication, social, and daily living skills
• Support toileting/diapering needs as necessary to promote student independence and dignity
• Document progress and collaborate with instructional staff and related service providers
