Responsibilities include:

• Assisting teachers with instruction and classroom management in an inclusive high school setting
• Supporting a group of students, with opportunities for individualized attention as needed
• Encouraging participation and engagement through tailored support strategies
• Helping implement accommodations and modifications for students with different learning needs
• Fostering an inclusive, respectful, and motivating environment in the classroom
• Monitoring student progress and documenting observations
• Collaborating with special education and general education staff
• Supporting students in developing social, academic, and life skills

Key qualifications:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
• Familiarity with serving high school-aged students, especially 9th and 10th graders
• Ability to provide both group and one-on-one support in an inclusion classroom
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
• Available for a contract position near Baker, LA
