This contract assignment offers 30 hours a week and runs through the end of the school year (June 25, 2027). Use your skills to help a young student access their curriculum, communicate effectively, and thrive in the classroom setting.

Your qualifications:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience as a paraprofessional in school environments
• Previous work supporting students using sign language interpretation
• Strong background in behavioral management techniques with children
• Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
• Compassionate approach with a commitment to student success and inclusion

In this role, you will:

• Provide ASL interpretation for an elementary student in daily classroom activities and lessons
• Assist the student with social interactions and peer engagement
• Support implementation of behavior management strategies as directed by the school team
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt materials and communication for the student’s needs
• Advocate for inclusivity and accessible learning
• Maintain professional, confidential, and supportive relationships
