Key Qualifications:
- Active Educational Technician II or III certification is required.
- Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings, supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Strong commitment to fostering a positive, empowering, and engaging classroom culture.
- Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative approach to working alongside lead teachers and related service providers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective partnership with staff, students, and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional and behavioral support to elementary students.
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing a life skill-based curriculum.
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure accommodations are in place for student success.
- Foster a safe and encouraging environment where every child can thrive academically and personally.
- Help with daily routines, group activities, and transitions throughout the school day.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate observations to the educational team.
