Step into a rewarding support role assisting students and educators in a high school setting. As a paraprofessional working onsite, you’ll play a key part during a leave of absence, providing vital day-to-day academic and behavioral support. This contract position offers full-time hours, weekdays only, with an expected start as soon as possible through September 21st.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit required at the time of application (pending or in-process permits not accepted)
• Previous experience in school settings as a paraprofessional is strongly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of confidentiality and special education needs
• Willingness to pay $85 for CBC fingerprinting as a hiring requirement
• If currently an RBT, you must secure your own BCBA supervision after hours to maintain your credential

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students, both one-on-one and in groups
• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans and classroom activities
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports student success
• Assist with classroom management and organization
• Maintain accurate documentation and respect student privacy
• Communicate effectively with staff and students
