Instructional Assistant - Bedford, NH

You'll play a key role working with two specific students: a 5th grader requiring toileting support and a 7th grader needing behavioral assistance.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a classroom or special education paraprofessional
• Familiarity with supporting students in middle school settings
• Comfort and professionalism in assisting with toileting and personal care needs
• Ability to implement behavioral strategies under teacher or specialist guidance
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers and staff
• Patience, flexibility, and compassion in daily student interactions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to IEPs and school policies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to assigned students throughout the school day
• Assist with personal care routines, including toileting for a 5th grade student
• Help manage and redirect behaviors for a 7th grade student with behavioral support needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff
• Document student progress and report observations as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment
• Attend relevant meetings and professional development sessions, as assigned
