Occupational Therapist Aide/Services Facilitator

Soliant Education is seeking a professional, tech savvy, and dependable candidate to help our virtual Occupational Therapist provide services to students in Belen, New Mexico. This role is full-time and in person. This role serves as the on-site liaison between students, school staff, and the remote occupational therapist to ensure therapy sessions are conducted efficiently, safely, and effectively.
Job duties:
- Provides in-person support to students receiving occupational therapy services delivered through a teletherapy platform
- Travel between assigned schools to provide support for students receiving remote occupational therapy services
- Facilitate teletherapy sessions by preparing students and ensuring they are ready to participate at scheduled appointment times
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot computers, tablets, webcams, microphones, and internet connections before and during therapy sessions
Ensure therapy spaces are clean, organized, and conducive to student learning
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support effective scheduling and communication
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, healthcare, or related setting is required.
Experience working with students with disabilities or special education populations is preferred.
Basic computer skills with the ability to operate and troubleshoot laptops, tablets, webcams, and video conferencing platforms.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote therapists and school personnel.
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between assigned school locations throughout the workday.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies and applicable student privacy laws.
Ability to lift and carry therapy materials and assist students with positioning or equipment as directed, if needed.
Must successfully complete all required district background checks and pre-employment requirements.
This position is a contract (w2) for the full upcoming school year. Monday - Friday following school schedule. Hourly rate range is between $17 - $23/hour depending on applicants experience. Benefits (health, vision, dental and 401k) are available. Mileage reimbursement for travel between schools is available.
