Anacortes School District is seeking a compassionate and reliable Paraprofessional (Para) for a summer ESY (Extended School Year) program in Skagit County. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a 19-year-old student with autism and intellectual disabilities in a structured developmental summer camp program.

Position Details
•  Student Assignment: 1:1 support (19-year-old, autism & intellectual disabilities)
•  Program Type: Developmental summer camp in Skagit County(ESY)
•  Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Program Dates:
o July 6–9
o July 13–16
o July 20–23
o July 27–30
o August 3–6

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct, individualized support to the assigned student
• Assist with participation in camp activities, routines, and transitions
• Support communication, behavioral, and social skill development
• Ensure student safety and engagement throughout the day
• Collaborate with program staff and follow established plans/support strategies

Qualifications
• Experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities preferred
• Strong patience, empathy, and communication skills
• Ability to follow structured routines and support plans
• Reliable attendance for all scheduled program dates
• High school diploma or equivalent required
