Make a difference supporting student growth and positive classroom environments as a behavior support provider in an innovative K-12 educational setting. The district is actively seeking paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, and ABA professionals to join a dedicated team as part of an evolving behavior support program. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate individuals ready to contribute to a dynamic new phase for the 26/27 school year.
This opportunity spans four buildings and offers full-time assignments at 35–37.5 hours per week during the academic year (August through June). With a district BCBA overseeing the program and additional support from external BCBA supervision for RBTs, you’ll gain valuable guidance and ongoing development.
Key Qualities and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, RBT, behavior specialist, or in ABA settings preferred
- Knowledge of implementing behavior intervention plans and working with students exhibiting diverse needs
- Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a school environment
- Comfort collaborating with a multidisciplinary education team
- Commitment to promoting student empowerment and inclusion
- Desire to contribute feedback and ideas to a newly rebuilt program
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Directly supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs across K-12
- Assisting with and implementing behavior management strategies under BCBA guidance
- Monitoring and documenting student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and specialists to tailor interventions
- Participating in program development and pilot initiatives during the 26/27 year
- Upholding a positive and safe atmosphere for learning
