Make an impact supporting students as a Behavior Support Provider in a dynamic educational environment near Bellows Falls, VT. This contract opportunity offers an exciting chance to help shape a developing behavior program, working alongside a dedicated team that includes RBTs, Paraprofessionals, and ABA professionals. The district is introducing new initiatives and pilot projects managed by an incoming district BCBA, ensuring a collaborative and growth-focused atmosphere. Preferred candidates will appreciate the value of external BCBA supervision for RBTs, enhancing the overall support system.
Available positions include three at the elementary level, two at the middle school, and two at the high school, providing meaningful experiences across age groups. With full-time roles ranging from 35 to 37.5 hours weekly, you’ll play a key part in the program’s success from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional, RBT, or ABA provider in school settings
- Skilled in supporting students with behavioral needs or developmental disabilities
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and supervisors
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for participating in pilot programs and evolving best practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on behavioral support to students individually or in small groups
- Implement and follow individualized behavior intervention plans developed in collaboration with BCBA and school staff
- Document interventions and progress notes regularly
- Support classroom routines and assist in crisis prevention and de-escalation as needed
- Engage in professional development and training as part of pilot programming
