Instructional Aide - Belvidere, IL

A local district is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to assist in a K-2 Instructional Program classroom working with young students who thrive on encouragement and guidance. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting, especially with K-2 students, is highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers and support individualized learning plans
• Familiarity with instructional techniques and behavior management for young learners
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of Paraprofessional certification or willingness to obtain preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Support lead teachers in daily classroom routines, lessons, and activities
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensuring accommodations are met
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to enhance student understanding
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Help with classroom organization, prepping materials, and reinforcing learning objectives throughout the school day
• Attend team meetings and ongoing training as required by the program

This position follows a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:50 am to 3:10 pm, allowing for work-life balance while actively contributing to student success.
