A rewarding opportunity awaits supporting young learners in a K-2 Instructional Program classroom for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. The daily schedule runs from 7:50 AM to 3:10 PM, offering consistent hours throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings, particularly with early childhood or elementary-aged students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with lead teachers and other staff members
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach to supporting diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills with students, educators, and parents
- Adaptable and flexible to changing classroom environments and student needs
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Understanding of basic instructional strategies and willingness to undertake training as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Support K-2 students individually and in small groups, reinforcing lessons and accommodating varied learning styles and abilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with implementation of instructional activities and classroom management
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teaching staff
- Prepare and organize classroom materials as directed by the lead teacher
- Participate in all assigned training, meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Foster an encouraging and respectful environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of every student
