Instructional Aide - Bensalem, PA

Desired Background and Skills:

• Previous work as a paraprofessional or experience in a student-supportive role
• Familiarity with classroom operations and resource room environments
• Excellent communication skills with both students and colleagues
• Ability to adapt and respond to varied learning needs and classroom dynamics
• Compassionate, patient, and eager to assist students in achieving goals
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or certifications in education a plus

Key Duties:

• Provide direct support to classroom teachers in daily instruction and classroom activities
• Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral supports
• Support the emotional and social well-being of students in small groups and one-on-one settings
• Prepare instructional materials and assist in classroom organization
• Monitor student progress and record observations as directed by teaching staff
• Ensure a safe and positive environment by enforcing school policies and supporting classroom management
