Onboarding requires flexibility—paraprofessionals are assigned based on campus needs, with responsibilities that may include toileting, feeding, g-tube care, and direct instructional support.

Key Qualifications:

  • S10/S10A required; include all additional S-qualifications (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22) as applicable.
  • Meet minimum education criteria: Associate’s Degree or higher, OR 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR passing the CBEST or Instructional Aide Exam with a high school diploma.
  • Relevant training and certifications as required per S-qualification (CPR, First Aid, specialized care modules, sign language fluency, Braille, CA LVN license, etc.).
  • Willingness to work with students who have a range of disabilities and health care needs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and team spirit; must be able to adapt and take on all assigned duties.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group support for students in classrooms and throughout the school environment.
  • Provide personal care, such as assistance with hygiene, feeding, and medical procedures when needed.
  • Implement behavior support strategies and assist with instructional tasks under educator guidance.
  • Participate in ongoing required trainings.
